This beginner woodturning course introduces lathe operation, tools and essential safety. You will learn techniques such as rounding wood and creating beads and coves, then progress to small projects like honey dippers, tealight holders and spinning tops, building towards a polished final piece.
Tutor Conor Fay is a seventh-generation woodworker and first-class honours graduate in Furniture Design & Manufacture from ATU Connemara. He continues his family tradition at The Carpentry Store and brings extensive woodturning expertise to this practical course.
